Grandfather can no longer travel. The mountains that have grown on his back throughout his life have become too heavy. The time has come for him to think about his final journey, but it is a journey he must make alone. The child then makes him promise not to leave just yet. He will go and find for him the most powerful wind there is, the one that can move mountains.
‘I absolutely loved The Mountain Man. The story is incredibly well-crafted and conveys a gentle, profoundly human message that stays with you long after you’ve finished reading. It’s a sensitive story, full of emotion, yet always handled with great sensitivity.
And what can I say about the artwork… it’s simply magnificent!! Every page is a true joy to behold, with a poetic atmosphere that perfectly complements the story.
A touching, beautiful, and memorable graphic novel. A huge favorite.’
