Synopsis
The MAGNUM Photos adventure takes you to the four corners of the world.
The Magnum Photos agency was founded in 1947, in the aftermath of World War II, when photojournalism was booming. Its four founders were none other than Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, George Rodger, and David Seymour, who, recognizing the power of photography to capture world events, wanted to give photographers complete control over the rights to their images. Join us on the Magnum Photos adventure, which will take you to the four corners of the world, and experience it through the lens of the greatest photojournalists of the 20th century!
What we thought of it:
‘What I really loved about Magnum Generation(s) is the blend of comics, photographs, and history. It works incredibly well. We discover, or rediscover, photographers who risked their lives simply to show what was really happening in the world.
The illustrations perfectly capture the atmosphere, and the photographs add a real dimension: they lend weight, emotion, and make you think. You look at these images differently afterward, with a fresh perspective.
Ultimately, it’s a graphic novel that’s easy to read but deeply moving. A wonderful tribute to courageous artists and reporters. Honestly, a truly great discovery.’
